Choosing a Theme for Newborn Session
Baby Churchill was finally here after 9 months of waiting. His family wanted to capture his first days of life. Mommy wanted nothing but white and blue… pure and simple. Dad also wanted to include the beautiful hand-stitched blanket from his aunt.
Preparing for the session
It is always a good idea to be flexible and pick the time that baby is most sleepy during the day. Some babies sleep well in the morning after partying all night! Other babies doze off after a big lunch, lol! Churchill came to our studio for his afternoon naptime. He had a bath and a full tummy. That made him happy and content. He even smiled in his dream while I was photographing him. Because of that, mom and dad could relax and snuggle with each other while I was busy with the cutie patootie.
